ALVARO ARBELOA has warned Emile Smith Rowe and Kevin that their price tags and salaries are irrelevant under his watch.
Midfielder Smith Rowe (£34million) and winger Kevin (£35m) were both club record transfers when they arrived at Craven Cottage in the previous two summers - yet neither player started Monday’s Premier League opener against Chelsea.
Former Arsenal man Smith Rowe was left on the bench for the entire 90 minutes, despite Fulham chasing the game in their 3-2 derby defeat.
Both men will start against AFC Wimbledon in tomorrow night’s Carabao Cup second-round home tie – with a ballsy Arbeloa urging them to take the opportunity, while adamant that their reputations are not important to him.
